Forward: "Annesley's 2004 architectural paintings are based on the city of Vienna, from the gothic "Stephansdom," and medieval cellars to neoclassical museums. A number of the objects used in the still lifes relate to the artist's time spent in Vienna, such as the Mozart sheet music, the opera glasses and masks, and Austrian wine. In 2004 the artist also hiked the Rockwall Trail in Kootenay National Park in British Columbia in Canada, which is the subject of many of the 2004 landscapes."
